Universal Masters Collection Allman Brothers

The specially gifted Rock artisan Gregg Allman has freed him CD entitled Playin Up A Storm. I am very convinced and happy to announce that I believe Gregg Allman fans, and Rock fans similar will be pleased with this one. With the release of Playin Up A Storm Gregg Allman’s artistic excellency is on full display as Allman has once again delivered a brilliant collection of tracks that could very well be him best work to date.

Playin Up A Storm kicks off with a outstanding track, Come And Go Blues, that I suspect will be heard on radio stations everywhere, and as deserved so. It’s a genuinely nice track.

Gregg Allman is one of those musicians that has the capacity to just win you over with him talent. The kind of artisan it’s in truth a treat to be capable to listen to.

If you’re a Gregg Allman fan, or just a fan of Rock music this is a CD your collection merely must not be without.

While the entire album is great the genuinely standout tunes are track 3 – Brightest Smile In Town, track 4 – Bring It On Back, and track 9 – One More Try.

My Bonus Pick, and the one that got Sore [...as in "Stuck On REpeat"] is track 1 – Come And Go Blues. Great track!

3Good Overall, better then US release, but more cash too.
By The Shade
This is a good, one disc, overview of Capricorn years Allman Brothers Band. It has a decent song selection.

The 16 tracks span The Allman Brothers Band, Idlewild South, Live at Fillmore East etc… until Enlightned Rogues 1979 .

Only one song, from Live At Fillmore East is Statesboro Blues , sans the intro. A little shortchanged here from one of the top live recordings ever.

Nice to have included is the studio In Memory Of Elizabeth Reed. Just don’t see that one often.

Personally, I didn’t need Crazy Love. I think One Way Out would have made a more inviolable CD.

Strange running order on this release. The songs are in a random order. Plays fine, but I like chronological order on comps.
I may press random/shuffle play for this result.

Rating is 4 for the songs. I’ll subtract a point off for lack of value.

Universal, why the higher import price for the good one?

This more finish single disc, is what the US version ought to include, at the $10 range.

At this price point, you’d be much better served by ‘The Road Goes On Forever (30 songs).
