Don’t buy the Harmony 900. Buy this instead.

Let’s all agree that it does not require an modern degree in computer science to program a remote control. In the case of the MX-450, neither does it require a “Professional” installer (whatever THAT means).

Not for non-professionals

It will have to be made much clearer that this remote comes with NO programming documentation. The “owners manual” recommends, in no uncertain terms, that the purchaser ought to find a professional audio/video installer to program the remote. That’s all well and good, but must be stated up front. If it is being sold on Amazon, I suppose it will be user friendly sufficient for someone somewhat technical to program it. Otherwise, just trade it from local dealers with installation specialists, who will tell an individual up front what the further and added cost will be.
