Midland radio is excellent
This radio does what you need – not what you don’t. The reception is good and sounds good. The calls I have placed were received “Loud and Clear”. It is compact and comes with any accessory (rechargeable battery and two chargers, waterproof bag, bracket, clip) that you could want. It also runs on AA cells if your rechargeable runs down.

It does not have Digital Selective Calling which is not something I care about. It is not waterproof outside of it is bag – likewise not a concern to me the way I use it.

I am a 25 year boatowner and I think the radio is great.

This is an exelent product and is one of the few items I have purchased lately that genuinely exceads my expectations.Not only does it carry out as promised but it comes finish with all the accesories that it is advertised with.

Poor Item
The only reason I even gave it one star was that it did turn on. The battery lasts with regards to 1 hour to the full or entire extent charged, which is just sad. I could not commune with a vessel that was 1 mile from me, which again is sad. Spend a little more cash and get a better product.
