5A great, simple solution
By Logan Dillard
I use this canoe carrier kit on top of my Honda Civic 2-door, and have had no complaints. I’m glad to have such a simple solution to carrying a canoe on my car. It came with everything that I needed, including straps.

5great starter package
By janettis
This is a outstanding starter package for any individual with a canoe. Although I commend getting cinch or rachet straps for the front of the car/canoe rather of the ropes included, they are still a good place to start out if you don’t have anything. The cinch strap works great and is good quality. I likewise purchased other foam blocks and these are way better because they’re longer (rectangular shaped) and more sturdy. They have a rubber grip pad attached if you are putting them directly onto your roof so they don’t slip, and the cutouts work get to lock them in place onto any roof rack with cross bars. I highky commend these.

4canoe carrier for Subaru with rack
By Michael J. Nucci
I think the only thing worth actually buying was the foam blocks because they are important for putting the canoe on the car. It didn’t work as planned because the canoe is wider than the rack that I have in place so I was not capable to put the blocks directly on the rack. I was capable to make it work notwithstanding with the blocks wedged versus the rack. The ropes and straps are just basic ropes and with my canoe I had to use a dissimilar rope for the back because the one was not long enough. I also would prefer ropes that do not require knot expertise. The canoe strap works well but they are sold at Home Depot and are not one thing special. My recommendation for an individual else is to buy the pieces you need separately such as straps, foam blocks, rope. I purchased a ratcheting tie down to further tigten it down on top. So overall it worked but if I had it to do again I would buy the pieces separately and not as a kit. For someone who does not want to go to the trouble of buying the items on an individual basis it is a good deal but you probably will still need another rope if you have a 17 foot canoe.
