I purchased this for my daughter because she in the long run saved sufficient $$ to buy and iPod! each time she touched the doc, it shorted out and we had to reset the breaker. The alarm will not sound AT ALL if her iPod was on the doc, so no waking to her own music. If the iPod was off the doc, the alarm would sound fine, and as long as she did not touch it, and short it out, it was a great clock! she says that the sound quality was ok, but not great. I returned this item to the manufacturer as it was past the 14 days permitted by amazon and they are suppose to send me another one as a replacement, but I have already purchased another product that we get enjoyment from much better!
