By Matt
USE: iPhone 3G in ’05 Ram 1500- attached to drvr. seat rail slide bolt so I wouldn’t have to reach for it… flush to arm rest :) .
TOOLS: 1/2″ socket.
phillips sd.
little adjustable.
dab of super glue (read below).

+: FAST install (10 mins myself).
Goosneck is tight and does not wobble.
3 axis adjustments at top…. again: tight.
Many configurations (90/45/0 deg on left, right, and upside-down) for mounting base.
-: Base does not “snap” into gooseneck. It has 2 slides for fitting in, but may slide back out.
I employed a dab of super glue to both sides and it worked great.

SUMMARY: Would commend in spite of the negative due to easy work-around.

3Convenience, Functionality, Fairly Priced, Questionable Quality
By Chris in NJ
I have been using the Arkon Universal Mini Grip 15 Inch Floor Mount for just over a month. I am happy overall. Installation was a breeze and it functions precisely the way it should. My iPhone looks good and is in a commodious emplacement making it easy to access while in my vehicle. I likewise like having the capacity to use the iPhone in landscape mode. I may even place my GPS system on the Mini Grip eliminating me having to mount any plastic discs to my dashboard or attracting thieves who look for the suction cup rings on your windshield.

In my opinion the construction of the Mini Grip is questionable. The flexible 15 inch gooseneck is made of a soft metal that may effortlessly break if bent or adjusted too often. I not so long ago had a merchant fix to my climate control scheme and the mechanic moved Mini Grip to access the center console. This loosened the mini grip at the base. After attempting to adjust the gooseneck in hope of tightening it for stability I was astonished that the mini grip snapped off at the base.

Fortunately, I was capable to drill out the soft metal from the base and in the end fix the Mini Grip nonetheless this is not a product that you would have the capacity to just push out of the way or readjust on the fly without compromising the integrity of the item. This is more of a “set it and forget it” addition to your vehicle.

For the price, however, the positives outweigh the negatives and it was somewhat simple to repair when it did break.

5Fantastic holder for touch/droid.
By Scott Chichester
I have an HTC Incredible and an iPod Touch. Both fit in this and work outstanding with cases. The only drawback on this is that the Incredible has it is charge/USB port on the side so it cannot be plugged in while in this holder. The iPod has a great deal of room on the bottom to fit it is cable and works great. Bolting it to my passenger chair puts it at with regards to radio height in my Dodge Neon.
