Very well written, Keeps the flow going and not boring. This author does a splendid occupation of helping you perceive and remember. Very well thought out. Each chapter has Questions with one answer, then the quiz which you select one answer out of four. After the Quiz a quick review and then onto next chapter. End of book has 3 exams with answers at the end. If this author were to publish the General Class and Extra I’d buy without hesitation.
Plain and straightforward
First, let me state that there is not one thing new in this book. All the questions are public domain, and may be freely received from dozens of online sources. What is distinctive regarding this queer book is the arrangement of the questions into short 3-4 page “chapters” of related information. Small chunks of information, review quiz, then a one-page “cliffs notes” version of the most necessary information. My 9-year-old has been studying on-and-off for assorted months using various dissimilar (ARRL, Gordo, “Dummies”) established study materials. He held putting them down. The bite-sized chunks of selective information as staged in this book has been perfective for him. He goes through a chapter in when it comes to 10 minutes, one chapter per night. I go over the quiz with him at the end of the chapter and he is systematically at 90 – 95%. At this rate he will be ready to test at the May VE session. I think I have struck paydirt this time.
Good overall book
This book is very good at walking you through all of the dissimilar questions and explaining them. He points out what you just have to memorize and what gives some good tricks. The only bad thing is that it’s not exceedingly entertaining, but then again, you’re going to be studying for an exam that covers topics that most of us would consider pretty mundane.
