5Very good for passing the test.

Have you already read the ARRL General Class book (The ARRL General Class License Manual for Ham Radio, Level 2) and feel a little bit overwhelmed? Then you may get this book to aid you focus on getting the rectify answers on the test. This book is no alternate for the more comprehensive books on the market, but if you do what the book says you will pass the test with minimal effort. The approach of only having the rectify answers unquestionably makes it easy to recognize the rectify answers on the real test, since you have not seen the defective answer choices. I believe MFJ has a similar product that cost more. You will not have any use for the book once you pass the test, but it a very cheap book that does what it claims.

5Excellent and inexpensive final review before the exam., but must be applied with other more comprehensive books.

If you want to upgrade to general, you will have to introductory get the ARRL book( The ARRL General Class License Manual for Ham Radio, Level 2) and go through as much of that book as you can. In the last few days before the exam go through the questions in this book three times. You may do this very quickly. Since the distracter defective answer choices have been got rid of from the questions, you will be more likely to do not forget the rectify answer for the duration of the exam. If you study from the original pool with all of the answer choices, you run a more spectacular peril of picking one of the faulty answer choices. If you want explanations to all the questions , there are other books that you may use:General Class FCC License Preparation for Element 3 General Class Theory and ARRL’s General Q & A: Upgrade to a General Class Ham Radio License! This book is a very inexpensive supplement to the ARRL book. The study time you save is worth the few bucks that this book costs. Use the ARRL book to learn and understand the concepts. Use this book for the final review before the exam.

1Become a “Trained Seal”
By J Eihganrac
The special importance and significance of this book is on “knowing the questions” and the “right” answer rather than understanding what you are supposedly learning. There are much better exam preparation books out there; Gordon West does a much better occupation presenting the material and the test questions than this book. From the preface: “It [this book] is only intended to aid you pass the exam with a minimum investment in time. The reader is strongly encouraged to use the book from the ARRL to better perceive the subject.” You’ll learn the rectify answer to the multiple guess questions, but you will not LEARN the material. By the way, a new question pool is due in 2011.
