Worksafe Licence Testing requires the applicant to be assessed as being competent in both a practical operation of Forklift or plant test (other class of licence egg: Stockpicker, crane, and Dogman etc) and a written exam.

LICENCE TESTING, in the instance of Forklift may take as little as 2-3 hours for operators to be assessed as being competent, if applicant is experienced and has studied the question & answer sheets (contains 97 questions) supplied by Advanced Forklift Licences & Training, and who does not require any prior training.

The written exam paper for forklift holds a random selection of 52 questions, derived from the 97 questions and “model” answers that applicants are required to study, prior to assessment.

The 52 questions in exam paper consist of 30 mandatory questions, which must be answered (in your own wording) 100 % correctly, the remaining 22 non mandatory chosen questions, ought to have a 75 % pass score.

Inexperienced / novice operators or humans who experience difficultness in understanding the question & answer sheet requisites or terminology with regards to assessment often times take up the option for training in both practical operation of Forklift and comprehensible statement of the full 97 questions, prior to licence testing.

It is a Worksafe requirement that all written assessments are finished in the English language (interpreters are not permitted), but applicants may request a verbal test, which does obtain a further little fee.

Successful assessment of applicants will gain them an interim licence handed to them on test day (60 day temporary licence), which will concede applicant to gain employment and operate Forklift / plant legally. Applicant will have to within the 60 days from test date, lodge application form, supplied by Advanced Forklift Licences & Training to Australia Post, together with $60.00 application fee, 100 points of identification eg: passport, birth cert, drivers licence, medicare card etc, and one passport sized photo of themselves.

All licence applicants MUST be over 18 years of age (motor car drivers licence is NOT required), provide a photo copy of proof of identification, eg: passport, drivers licence, keypass, tertiary student card, or other government ID card and one passport sized photo of themself.

Worksafe licences are nationally recognised all around Australia and must be renewed each five years by payment of $45.00 and a new passport sized photo of themself. NO FURTHER LICENCE TESTING IS REQUIRED.
